Essential Information for Visitors

Changes to help everyone stay safe

As we slowly begin to reopen and welcome our community back, our priority is the health and wellbeing of our visitors and staff, so we’ve introduced a number of measures across the building to help everyone remain safe when they visit the Landmark.

Covid-19 security

We’re following all official guidance to make sure the building is Covid secure – and are happy to say we passed our “Staying COVID19 Secure in 2020” inspection in early July.

The new measures

We have put in place:

  • timed entry tickets for our exhibitions – this reduces the number of visitors at any one time, giving everyone ample space
  • public hand sanitiser point at the entrance
  • clear signage to guide visitors safely around the Landmark
  • one-way system around the building to ensure social distancing
  • regular and thorough cleaning of door handles, rails, surfaces, toilets and other areas.

Your visit

Timing your arrival

When you arrive you may be asked to join a short queue before entering. We therefore recommend you arrive as close to your timeslot as possible to avoid having to queue for too long.

Entry will only be via our main entrance (top image on About the LAC, and the first photo in the photo gallery ).

You must book in advance and will receive an e-ticket to present on your phone (this doesn't have to be printed) and you'll need to show this when you arrive.

Asking for help

Our friendly staff and volunteers will be available to answer any questions you may have and help you during your visit, but please respect the social distance guidelines when approaching anyone whilst visiting the centre.

During your visit

We want you to feel confident and have the best experience when you visit, so we ask you to please:

  • follow our one-way system round the Centre
  • maintain a safe distance between staff and other visitors
  • if you are visiting with children, please ensure they are supervised at all times and stay with you
  • personal protective equipment (PPE) has been made available to our staff and we encourage visitors to wear their own face covering, but it is not mandatory
  • if you or anyone in your household is unwell within 14 days of your visit, please stay at home and follow the Public Health England advice.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Landmark soon!
