What We Offer

A memorable venue

The Landmark Arts Centre is a Grade II* listed building, built in the 1880s as a magnificent gothic style church. With its soaring scale and striking architectural features, it is a memorable venue.

The venue can be hired for classes, exhibitions (The Landmark Gallery), concerts, performances, and ad-hoc events. Examples of previous hires are given for each space or room.

Variety of space and room hire

We offer individual space and room hire at hourly rates on an ad-hoc and term basis for the following spaces:

Tutor term hire benefits

Tutors booking a term hire (minimum 10 weeks) benefit from free marketing comprising:

  • an entry on the appropriate classes page
  • inclusion in our quarterly events brochure.

The Landmark is an independent charity. Hiring us for your event directly supports our vibrant community arts programme and helps us care for this historic building.

The Main Hall

Hall key details

  • Up to 220 for seated wedding receptions and private events
  • up to 320 capacity for conferences and, with a magnificent stage setting, the same audience numbers for concerts or performances
  • inclusion of the Landmark Gallery, for both group and solo visual arts exhibitions.

  • a training day for a local healthcare trust
  • public consultations for a proposed local housing development

The Stage Area

Stage area key details

  • A large space (89 m2) with vinyl sprung floor ideal for dance, exercise, children’s activities or workshops
  • PA system
  • also ideal as a rehearsal space.

The Bell Room

Bell Room key details

A separate room (45 m2) with a wood floor for classes, workshops, photo shoots, small parties and meetings.

The Studio

Studio key details

A self-contained and fully equipped art studio space (39 m2) for art and craft workshops, lectures and small meetings.

  • Main hall: an induction loop is installed.

Food and Drink

  • Café / bar: open for most events; check event listing. For our fairs caterer Enjoy! operates the café, serving tasty home-made food as Enjoy!@The Landmark. What's available at the bar / café.

What the building looks like

Travel Options

  • Train: Waterloo to Teddington (approx. 35 minutes), then just over 10 minutes' signposted walk
  • Bus: R68, 281, 285 all stop outside the Centre (‘Teddington Lock’): Stop M across the road, Stop U on the same side, or Stop Y nearby on Kingston Road. Also, 33 via Waldegrave Road, Stop A or Stop B opposite (both ‘Teddington Library’). Bus spider maps.
  • Tube: District line to Richmond and then bus R68 (above)
  • Cycle: on-site parking for up to 12 bicycles
  • Car: no parking on site but free parking in surrounding streets.

How to Book…

  • Online: where indicated.
  • In person: Box Office open… Monday – Friday 9.30am – 5pm …and from 1pm on the day of weekend performances.
  • By post: state the event and number of tickets required, enclose an SAE and cheque payable to ‘Landmark Arts Centre’, and send allcourses or spend them in our shop. to our address.

Please note…

  • Refund & Exchange Policy: no refund of tickets or class bookings will be made unless the event or class is full and we are able to re-sell your ticket/class place, in which case an admin fee of £1 will be deducted from the amount refunded.

Concessions, Offers…

  • Concessions: available to LAC Members and others as noted for the event, workshop or class.
  • Gift vouchers Looking for a gift? Why not buy them Landmark Gift Vouchers! £5, £10 and £20 vouchers are available and can be used for concert tickets, workshops and courses, or to spend in our shop.
